A Spill With A Happy Ending

Thanksgiving 2014 was around the corner. Turkey, meat, sweets and a whole lot of things were being carried to the city for sale and that’s when a truck carrying 25,000 pounds of turkey met with an unfortunate accident on a busy road near Oakland, California.
Why do we call it a happy ending? Because the turkey was too damaged to be sold and they decided to donate it to the Alameda County Food Bank. “Receiving this volume of meat protein is rare for us any time of year – and a donation like this simply couldn’t come at a better time.” The Chairman of the food bank continued, “This is going to add a significant helping of holiday joy to thousands of households throughout our community.”
