Charlie Ward ended up winning the Heisman Trophy playing football at Florida State. He was then undrafted by the NFL and joined the NBA. Ward ended up playing for 11 seasons in the league, joining the New York Knicks. He retired in 2005 and took a job as he also loved coaching. He did not go professional instead took jobs at the high school level and is a head coach at Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida.
