Now A Grim Reminder

The fact that this ring belonged to someone who lost his or her life in the extermination camp is a deep thought that pierces right through the heart. Who knew when this ring was gifted, by whom and to whom. Did the person who gifted this ring wait for the person to return or died in the same extermination camp?

Amount Of Bodies

The team of researchers knew that they’ll most likely get such items but what they found when they dug deeper made them all stand there speechless. They discovered decaying bodies and what was more shocking was the number of bodies that lay in there.

Still A Shock

The number of bodies that they dug out was making it an emotional site. Yes, the researchers knew that they’ll get across some painful moments but this was making everything significantly serious for each and every member of the team. The bodies were still taken out every day.

Very Few Escaped

More than millions of people died in those concentration camp and how do you feel when you know that less than 100 people manage to escape those concentration camps by the end of the war. The prisoners died for reasons like being unhealthy, being too short or too fat.

Unsurprising But Affected Still

Yes, the discoveries were obvious but it made a deep impact on the minds of the researchers. They too are humans after all. Looking at those decaying skeletons left them wondering about the name of the person, where he or she was from and what were his or her last thoughts.

Ways Of Execution

From the mass number of bodies, they discovered one body which is shown in the image. The body was found lying facing down as if it was thrown there. The search went on and the biggest disturbing shock was soon to be uncovered. When the researchers took a look at this skeleton, it had a hole in the skull which meant the person died of a gunshot. That’s how he was killed most likely.
