Alcohol Waterfall

Not that it is an actual waterfall of alcohol but it was no less either. In the years ranging from 1920 to 1933 alcohol was prohibited in the United States as an obligation towards the 18th Amendment of the Constitution. Every factory and household had to give away on their alcohol stores. This picture depicts a large amount of alcohol being poured out of the windows of a factory in Detroit, Michigan, in 1929.

Adieu To Titanic

A lot has been said and a lot has been heard about the “Unsinkable Ship- Titanic” which eventually sinks that too on its very first voyage from Southhampton to New York City. At sharp 11:40 PM on April 14th, 1912 the ships hit the iceberg and rest is history. A lot of researchers have been keen to know more about it. This picture was reportedly the last one to be clicked before the magnificent ship sank.

Christmas Feast For Nazi Officers

This photograph was snapped in the year 1941 at the Christmas Feast being hosted for the Nazi Officers. Back then, they all sat in a single hall with a compact table. They all managed to snuggle in the space available. This appears to be more of a hostel’s mess but the smiles on the faces of these officers are priceless. Moreover, even for a dinner party, they all were dressed in their official uniform. Wow!

Helen Keller Met Charlie Chaplin

Helen Keller was the first deaf-blind person to ever have a bachelors degree. Later she won fame as an American author. Not many people know that she met Charlie Chaplin on the sets of the movie Sunnyside. Helen felt Chaplin’s lips to understand his words and Charlie drew the pictures of the scenes on her palm to make her feel the atmosphere around.
